In the song it talks about a girl caught their attention because of her beauty and they couldn't take her of their minds and how they are fools for tht girl because their full atttention is on her. This is how dally felt when he met cherry but she denied him so he felt stupid , like a fool so he kept messing with her to see if he can get her but in the end it really dosnt work out so he just gives up .
